Parkinson’s Care
Parkinson’s Care
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative brain disorder that affects movement, mental health, sleep, pain, and other health aspects. It is progressive, meaning symptoms worsen over time.
Managing the progression of Parkinson’s disease can evoke frustration, confusion, and fear. While a cure has yet to be found, First Support Health Care is dedicated to supporting individuals every step of the way. Our aim is to provide tailored care according to each person's evolving needs.

At First Support Health Care, our caregivers undergo specialized training to assist seniors with Parkinson’s disease in managing symptoms such as slow movement, tremors, rigidity, trouble walking, and difficulty speaking, while promoting independence and overall well-being.
We also offer support with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom, to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease maintain their autonomy.
Exercise plays a crucial role in preserving balance, mobility, and strength for those with Parkinson’s disease. Our caregivers can assist with stretching, walking, and other light exercise programs to support overall physical health.
Our specialized care providers are adept at working with muscle stiffness and tremors, helping to minimize frustration and reduce the risk of falls.
